Education is life-long so we offer creative, hands-on instruction for all ages. Classes help students explore mediums more fully, establish rapport with instructors, and meet other creative people. Our instructors offer technical guidance and encouragement so students stretch their imaginations and their artistic skills!

Monday: October 23, 30, November 6, 13, & 20 (3:30 - 5:30pm)
Cost: $180 for 5-week class (All Materials are included)
Kick off the week with creativity! Over this 5-week session led by WCFA instructor Rebecca Stockdill students age 12 – 16 will explore a variety of mediums such as drawing, painting, printmaking, and mixed media arts – a great opportunity for students to build their portfolio for School! Beginners have the chance to try out different mediums and experienced students can sharpen their skills all while having fun and meeting other students with similar interests!

We are currently in the process of putting together a teen art class program. If you have a group of teens who are interested in a particular medium/class/technique we would be happy to put a class together with one of our amazing teaching artists! For more info call us at 401-737-0010!

Artist in You: Mixed-Media Art Journaling with Bev Silva
Wednesday, April 19, 26, May 3, & 10 from 10:30am - 12:00pm
Join us for a 4-week session of “The Artist in You: Mixed Media Art Journals" class which will meet on Wednesdays from 10:30am - 12:00noon in the Main Gallery! This class is a great opportunity for participants to explore their creativity in a fun and relaxing environment all while being inspired by our ”Exploring Abstracts” Juried exhibit. Each week, local mixed-media artist Beverly Silva will lead the sessions and guide participants through the use of color, texture, pattern and more to end up with their own personal art journal. This is a great opportunity for seniors and adults to take some time each week to relax and have some fun all while learning new art making techniques!
Adult Watercolor Painting Class (Beginners & Intermediate)
Thursdays, May 4, 11, 18, & 25 -- 6:30 - 8:30pm
This 4-week series led by Aileen Quinn is suited for beginners, intermediates, and for those who wish to “brush up” or get back into what you’ve already learned. This class is intended to give you a basic foundation and develop confidence. Composition, Color Theory, Techniques, qualities and principles of watercolor painting will be explored. Adult Watercolor Card-Making Class
Thursdays, May 4, 11, 18, & 25 -- 1:30 - 3:00pm
Create unique hand-made cards for all of the upcoming spring holidays! In this daytime watercolor painting workshop led by Aileen Quinn, participants will discover simple techniques in resourceful ways to create eye-catching greeting cards. Ordinary household items combined with watercolor paint and paper will be demonstrated and used to add bright cheer to all of your spring cards! Come and plan to create uniquely designed cards to share! The cost is $55 of $45 for current WCFA members. All supplies are included and payment is required in advance.
"Art of the iPhone" Photography Workshop

It’s a new age. “It’s been said that the best camera is the one you have with you." and the phone in your pocket does indeed offer a spontaneous new way to make good pictures. In this three-hour workshop you will learn how to create artistic photographs with the camera in your phone. You will also learn how to edit and process your images using Apple “Photos” and other apps. Please Note: This workshop covers how to use the CAMERA in your iPhone. This is not a workshop on how to use your phone.
