WFCA is seeking original works for our upcoming Altered Paper, Prints & Books Juried Exhibit, which will run from Thursday, June 24 – Saturday, July 24, 2021.

The WCFA invites artists to submit works on paper in two or three dimensions, with an emphasis on three-dimensional art constructed with paper. We invite artists to showcase their interpretation, reflection, and expression of their personal art journey. The exhibit is open to all original works on paper, altered paper, hand-pulled prints, and artist books. No photographic, digital, electronic processes or computer art will be accepted.

Awards: Three “Excellence Awards” will be presented at the opening reception. First Prize $200, Second Prize $150, Third Prize $50, non-cash Honorable Mentions will also be presented. Opening Reception: Thursday, July 1, 2021, 6:00-7:30 pm.

Eligibility: Works must be original and completed during the last 12 months; previously submitted works will not be accepted.Entry fee: $20 for one work, $40 for up to 3 works (2 or 3 works). Current WCFA Members; deduct $5 from fees. All payments are non-refundable and due at the time of submission.

Juror Bio: Kendra Ferreira holds a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, with a concentration in printmaking. She is a signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America in two areas, holding a second signature membership in the exploration of using other mediums and surfaces with colored pencils. Kendra is also an artist member of the Art League of Rhode Island, Nineteen on Paper, Providence Art Club, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, NYC and the American Artists’ Professional League, NYC. Her artwork has been exhibited throughout the US. She has authored a book titled, Colour Pencil Drawing: Techniques and Tutorials for the Complete Beginner, published by GMC Books of London. She is also a collaborating author for Drawing & Painting Techniques and Tutorials for the Complete Beginner. Kendra has taught art classes and workshops for over 20 years in various art associations and art museums.

Hanging Requirements: All artwork that is to be hung must be wired and ready to hang; our hanging system does not allow for hanging with clips, sawtooth hangers, or loops – please wire prior to drop off. We will also have pedestals available.

Artwork Drop-off Dates: Wednesday, June 16 – Saturday, June 19, 2021 (11am – 3pm).

Artwork Pick-up Dates: Wednesday, July 28 – Saturday, July 31, 2021 (11-3pm).

Art Sales Commissions: Artists receive a 60% commission on all original artworks and prints sold. Current Warwick Center for the Arts Members receive a 70% commission – to become a member, visit our website!
