Juried Exhibit for Rhode Island Art Educators
WFCA is seeking original works for our upcoming Showcase of Rhode Island Art Educators Juried Exhibit, which will run from September 11th – October 9th, 2021.
Art teachers have the unique gift of merging the intricacies of mathematics, the lyricism of language, and the lessons of history to create a new form of visual communication. This show celebrates those educators who teach art to others. This show is open to all art educators in Rhode Island, including PreK-12; college/university and adult art education. The show will be juried by Anita Thompson and Jill Cyr.

WFCA is seeking original works for our upcoming Rhode Island Art Educator’s Showcase, an exhibition featuring artwork from those individuals who teach art to others.
The show will run from Friday, September 17 – Saturday, October 9, 2021. Art teachers have the unique gift of merging the intricacies of mathematics,the lyricism of language, and the lessons of history to create a new form of visual communication. This show celebrates those educators who teach art to others. This show is open to all art educators in Rhode Island, including PreK-12; college/university and adult art education. The show will be juried by Anita Thompson and Jill Cyr.

RIAEA Members: $0 for one image; $15 for up to 3 images (2 or 3 images).
WCFA Members: $15 for one image; $35 for up to 3 images (2 or 3 images).
All Others: $20 for one image; $40 for up to 3 images (2 or 3 images)
This is reflective of Rhode Island Art Educators Association paying the entry fee for RIAEA members’ first artwork submission, in addition to offering a $5 discount on second and third art submissions.
Awards: Three “Excellence Awards” will be presented at the opening reception. First Prize $200, Second Prize $150, Third Prize $50, additional non-cash Honorable Mentions will also be presented.
Eligibility: Works must be original, available for purchase, and completed during the last 12 months;
Display Requirements: All hanging artwork needs to be wired and ready to hang; our hanging system does not allow for hanging with clips, sawtooth hangers, or loops – please wire prior to drop off. Pedestals are available for 3-D works.
Required Artwork Submission Form and JPEGs must be emailed to [email protected] by Midnight on September 8th!
Payments can be made by check (payable to WCFA), credit card by phone or online via our website or PayPal. All payments are non-refundable and due at the time of submission.
Notification Friday, 9/10 (evening) to give our jurors enough time to review the artworks.
Drop off of artwork will be as Saturday, 9/11 between 11am – 6pm OR Wednesday, 9/15 between 11am – 3pm
Installation will be on Thursday 9/17, exhibit opens to the public on Friday 9/17
The opening reception date will stay the same – Thursday, September 23rd at 6:00pm.
The exhibit will be on view until Saturday, October 9th.
Artwork Pick-up Dates: Wednesday, Oct. 13 – Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021.
How to Submit:
From the WCFA home page, hover over “What’s Happening”; click on “Call for Art” then click on this exhibit.
Email JPEG images of your artworks to [email protected] with “RIAEA Exhibit” in the subject line (3 submissions max per artist) JPEGs should be labeled with the title of artwork only.
Art Sales Commissions: Artists receive a 60% commission on all original artworks and prints sold. Current Warwick Center for the Arts Members receive a 70% commission – to become a member, visit our website!
