WHAT IF TRASH COULD BECOME SOMETHING MEANINGFUL?
This exhibition starts a conversation about finding new purpose for discarded, unwanted and overlooked materials. Artists transform trash, waste, recyclables and neglected objects into work that is new, interesting and potentially beautiful.

Whether sparked by accidental discovery, the hunt for a specific object or an intentional act of reuse, repurposed materials can become central to an artist’s process and message. The exhibition asks what our creative choices can contribute to our shared legacy and community footprint.

ABOUT THE JUROR
VICTORIA DALPE
Victoria Dalpe is a Rhode Island-based artist and writer. She has exhibited throughout New England and served as Gallery Chair of the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative for nearly ten years. Before returning to Rhode Island, she worked at MoMA and other New York museums.
Her fiction has appeared in more than 65 collections. She is the author of Parasite Life, the Selene Shade series and Les Femmes Grotesques, and has produced short and feature-length film projects in Rhode Island and New York.
